“Thank you so much for your hard work in re-modeling/decorating my home.  When I first started talking to you about the project, I remember telling  you that every time I did a home project I ended up disappointed because it never came out exactly as I wanted it to and I never got that “model home” look that I was hoping for. Well, this time, I am  thrilled and my home looks better than many of the model homes I’ve seen. And it’s still functional for my family and our needs. You faced some challenges in this project – a tight timeline, working with an entire family of six who all had to have the opinions be heard, and a lot to be accomplished. It’s hard to believe that in just a few short months we gutted 4 rooms, put in tile flooring, accent carpets, painted and wallpapered walls, a complete new kitchen, window treatment, reupholstered furniture and selected artwork, floral pieces and decorative accents. James Island is one of South Carolina’s most urban Sea Islands. Fort Sumter is located on an island just off the eastern tip of James Island and is the site of the first battle of the Civil War. Bombardment of Fort Sumter was started from Fort Johnson which is located on the eastern portion of James Island. Several significant military engagements took place on island including the battles of Secessionville (1862), Grimball’s Landing (1863) and Grimball’s Causeway (1865). All of these battles were alternately known as the “Battle of James Island”.
